Wow – 2009 went through so very quick in lots of ways, but also lots of things happened too…………operation slip – ups, broken toes, injured shoulders, too much rain but wonderful things too, new homes, little kitties, happy friendly times –
especially seeing Coldplay & Fleetwood Mac.
Gee, I haven’t kept up my blog…seems I must be too busy with other things!
But the LSBS held their December Cyber Crop in early December & I was able to complete a few challenges.
I have a few – not many – fantastic photos of my parents in their young years & chose to work on this LO of them together….one of the LSBS gals says it looks like my dad was just about to tour England in his cricketing gear!
The next LO is of my frangipanis in the garden – my very favourite scent of a flower…
Another challenge was in regard to a Christmas Recipe…so I scrapped my mum’s pumpkin fruitcake, with my boiled fruit cake….
But when I went to the photo albums I really had no piccies of either cakes!! So I have cut a piccie out of a magazine……& made sure I took some photos while I was baking this year.
The next challenge was to make a Christmas card – using non-traditional colours & themes……I made the following card…but didn’t notice the spelling mistake until too late!!!
I was very fortunate to be awarded an Encouragement Blinkie for these!! Yay!!
I realized that I needed more cards – so whizzed up another bunch. For the spripie card I have actually used paper from a Coles mail out – great recycling hey!
My lovely English friend won ‘Best Card Category’ in the Craft Stamper magazine….wow…how exciting & how fabulous!!
It was her first entry & she won hands down. She receives a great stash of stamping gear, which her beloved kitties Bert & Simone checked out to make sure it was all OK.
Congratulations Clare!!!
Started my Christmas cooking today,…I am on the way…
This little sweetie is made from dark & white chocolate, with pistachio nuts & cranberries.
I have also made a different bark, & I have sprinkled crushed candy canes into the swirled chocolate. It is setting in the fridge now. I will take it to the Trivia Christmas party, as well as the Ravers party.
We gave the pond a big clean late this arvo…2 gold fish live there …and put in 2 new plants…I think they really like it
Pete decided to take the parents out on a Grand Airing…so took them out for morning tea…and wow – this is scrumptious!!
Here is the little plate of goodies…
Norn certainly enjoyed her morning tea!
We had a lovely morning out with friends, & their parents too…
Take care xx
Thank you Sandie, I have enjoyed making these cards…so this is now 12 made…
Been great to think of different themes…
The new Christmas tree went up in a flash!! And it comes with it’s own baubles…so easy…and so pretty too…..
Oh dont you love a little bit of Christmas?
xx
I hopped onto Sandies – famous for her original & hand made daisies – blog to find out that she is running a 12 Weeks of Cards…so I have been making some & here they are…
I have two more to make this weekend……fun, fun, fun
